Packers vs. WFT: Preview, Prediction

Packers Redskins Commanders

The Green Bay Packers (5-1) are on a roll. This week, they return to Lambeau Field for a favorable matchup against the Washington Football Team (2-4).

After a first-week loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Packers have performed well, winning five straight games. They avoided a let-down performance against the Chicago Bears last week, winning by 10 points at Soldier Field.

Could this week’s game against Washington be a trap game? Washington has dropped two consecutive contests and has struggled on defense after the unit served as its strength last year. Washington allowed the Kansas City Chiefs to score 31 points and accumulate 499 total yards.

Quarterback Taylor Heinicke has struggled since taking over for injured QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. The offense could also be without leading rusher Antonio Gibson, who is battling an injury.

Despite the flaws, Washington has plenty of talent to keep up with the Packers on both sides of the ball.

The Packers have defeated teams by an average margin of 8.6 points per game this season. Although the Packers are at home and boast the better record, this game will be closer than most people anticipate.

Prediction: Packers 31, Redskins 24
