Kolby Allard, LHP, San Clemente (Calif.) HS

While the Brewers could play it safe and take a college arm that can move quickly through the system like Louisville’s Kyle Funkhouser, they have been known to take the best player available. Prior to suffering a stress fracture in his back in late March, Allard was expected to be a top 10 pick. If the Brewers feel Allard is healthy, he would be a smart selection. He has room to improve, but he should move quickly through the minors for a high school arm.
