Packers vs. Redskins: Preview and Prediction

Packers-Redskins

Where: FedEx Field

Series: Packers lead, 20-14-1
Line: Redskins by 3
Weather: 40s and windy

A Super Bowl favorite before the season, the Green Bay Packers are a train wreck, sitting with a 4-5 record after dropping three straight games, including four of their last five.

Now they have to travel to Washington D.C. to face the Redskins (5-3-1), who are in the hunt for a playoff spot and a better team than they were last season when the Packers beat them at home in the playoffs.

While the Packers are expecting Clay Matthews back, the defense will struggle again. A week after Tennessee tight end Delanie Walker torched them, the Packers have to face an offense loaded with weapons, including two talented tight ends in Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis.

While most would assume the Packers are due for a breakout performance, don’t expect it to come this week.

Prediction: Redskins 31, Packers 24
