Milwaukee returns home to face Judson

Judson University (3-6) vs. Milwaukee Panthers (5-2)

Winning games on the road has not been a problem for the Milwaukee Panthers, but in their lone home game, they lost to DePaul in a tough matchup. Now the Panthers will try to reverse their luck at home as they face off against Judson University Tuesday night.

The Eagles are a Division II school, and are members of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. To begin the season, they have struggled and will enter Tuesday’s game on a two game losing streak, with their last loss coming to Mount Mercy in Iowa, 121-80.

The main reason for their losses is because they have not played very good defense, and struggle to do the little things right. Judson has been out scored on an average margin of 11.6 points per game, while shooting 42.1 percent compared to the opponents 47.4 percent from the field.

Free throw shooting has also been an issue as they are only making 67.2 from the charity strip. They also have been out rebounded this season and are averaging 15 turnovers a game.

Leading the Eagles offense is guard Andrew Eck who leads the team with almost 12 points per game, and forward Turner Schwarz who contributes about 10 points in each contest.

These two players have been two of nine players to start for Judson this season, so the starting lineup is an unknown.

One thing that is for sure is that the Panthers will use the same combination of players in the starting lineup. Guards Jordan Aaron and Steve McWhorter, and forwards Matt Tiby and Austin Arians will all start. The final starting spot will either be Kyle Kelm, who started his fist game against Tennessee Tech, or J.J. Panoske who started all but the one game against Tennessee Tech this season.

This will be the first meeting between these two programs, and I would not be surprised if it is the last. Judson is an okay team, but they are no where near the level of the Panthers. As long as Milwaukee can shoot well from the field and take smart shots, the Panthers should dominate this game.
