Brock Stull commits to Milwaukee

Rob Jeter and the Milwaukee Panthers have received another commitment for 2014. Brock Stull, a six feet four inch shooting guard, from Boylan Catholic High School in Rockford, Illinois has committed to Milwaukee today.

In his high school career so far, Stull has made a name for himself as a one of the best three-point shooters in the state, finishing fourth in the 3 Point Shootout – State of Illinois last season. He also was named to the Associated Press All-State team in Illinois and to the All NIC-10 first team. His performance earned him numerous college offers, but in the end he felt Milwaukee was the best fit for him.

“On all of my visits I had a checklist on things I was looking for, some things to fell comfortable with. The most important things were being in a good relationship with the coaches and the players,” said Stull. “I feel like Milwaukee offers that.”

He will provide the Panthers with an excellent shooter, but it will not be easy for him to earn playing time right away. The Panthers will have seven guards returning from this year’s team, and incoming recruit Derek Rongstad competing for an opportunity as well. With all of this said, Stull is confident in whatever Rob Jeter has in store for him.

“Whatever coach has planned, I will be willing to do. I will just be working hard,” said Stull.

While his opportunities maybe limited in the beginning, one of the main reason he chose to attend Milwaukee was their ability to be competitive on a yearly basis.

“My dream was to make it to the NCAA tournament; I feel I will be able to go do that,” said Stull.

It will not be easy for Stull to receive playing time right away, but when he does, expect him to be a contributor for the Panthers.
