Jordan Aaron dominates in win

In a loud and hostile environment the Milwaukee Panthers went to Green Bay and surprised the world. This afternoon the Panthers (16-9, 6-5) knocked off the first-place Phoenix 73-63.

Jordan Aaron led the Panthers with 30 points as he made eight of his 13 shots from the field including four of six from behind the arc. Steve McWhorter had 10 points, while Kyle Kelm added nine. Malcolm Moore also had nine points, six rebounds and three blocks off the bench.

The Panthers got off to a slow start as they trailed 16-8 early, but then they went on a 13-0 run to give them the 21-16 lead. Milwaukee led the rest of the half until Alec Brown made a three-pointer with less than a minute left to give the Phoenix a one-point lead going into halftime.

In the second half Milwaukee took control of the game with a 24-7 run, while even holding an 18-point lead at one point.

After a tough first half the Panthers finished the game shooting 45.3 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from three-point range. The rebound battle was close as the Phoenix had the slight 34-33 advantage on the boards.

This was a great win for the Milwaukee Panthers knocking of their instate rival as they try to make a late season push for one of the top four conference tournament seeds.

Milwaukee will have a week to prepare for next Saturday’s game against Valparaiso, who the Panthers lost to earlier in the conference season.
